Introduction: 1

Well, the first day of school is a special day for everyone who has gone to school.

School is like our second home and the schooling experience is a significant life

experience. Childhood memories are distinct and they bring joy and nostalgia

whenever we think of them. I don’t remember much from my childhood but I do

remember my first day at school because I cried a lot on that day. It was in my city

in the school which I studied (name of your school) and this was around 20 years

ago.

A lot happened on the first day of my school. My parents had prepared me for school

but I was very nervous. I felt very anxious and hesitant to go to school. I had never

gone alone anywhere without my mom and the very thought of it was scary. When

my parents were ready to drop me, I ran way on the terrace to hide. They found me

and convinced me. My mom bribed me with a chocolate so I agreed to go.

Again on the way I started feeling jittery. I started screaming. My parents were

confused because I started throwing tantrums on the way. Right now when I think

about that day, I feel like laughing but it must have been a difficult situation for my

parents. Finally, we reached school but I refused to enter. My class teacher came

to welcome me to the gate with a chocolate. Some other children were also

weeping. But the teacher was very welcoming.

She comforted me and assured me that my parents will come and pick me up soon.

We were served lime juice and biscuits. I made new friends. I remember the small

desks and chairs. Colorful bulletin boards, sand play area, garden, music room,

green board and the smart uniform and school bags. All these things are still in my

memory. I felt happy, excited and thrilled to start a new life. I miss my school. The

last day was also full of tears but on that day I did not want to leave school and on

the first day I did not want to enter school.

Introduction: 2

Well, a person’s mind stores many good and bad memories he/ she gets from a different period. It depends upon a person which memories want to share with others or not. Today, I am going to talk about my old school.

I had been to three schools in my life. I lived in Ambala when I was three years old. I joined the military school there, but after one year, my family and I moved to my hometown. I took admission in another school there. I studied from nursery to eight there and then moved to its second branch, which was a kilometre away from it.

Where was it?
I don’t have a clear remembrance of my primary schools, so I would like to talk about my secondary school. My school name is GTB Khalsa Senior Secondary school, Malout. It is affiliated with the Punjab school education board.

What kind of building was it located in?
The building design was eco-friendly and green. It had three stories only, and my classroom was on the first floor. It had double-walled construction for heat insulation, high-efficiency air-conditioning systems, solar energy usage, and wastewater recycling and treatment. All the classrooms across the school were enabled with smart boards. They facilitate the learning of the students. The interactive board turned a typical classroom into a fun learning environment.

There were all types of labs, such as computer, chemistry, physics, biology, and home science lab, which were equipped with the latest technology. The great thing about the building was that each of its floors was fully equipped with fire extinguishing tools.

What happened? and Explain how you felt on that day.
I was very nervous on the first day because I heard a lot about the school rules and its strictness. Except one of all, my classmates were new. We were entered into the class half an hour before the time, and we felt relaxed when we started to talk with other students.

Conclusion:
I saw a half school in the morning. So I decided to see the whole school during the lunch break. After lunch, I was wandering in the school and saw all the rooms and labs. It was true that the school’s rules were very strict, but the teachers were very friendly. I studied from ninth to twelfth there.

According to the time table, we attended all the classes one after the another. Also, we had conversation with our subject teachers.

Introduction: 6

Well! I have been to three different schools primary, secondary, and high school. Seriously, I really don’t remember about my first day in primary and secondary school, however, I do remember when I was transferred from secondary to high school. It was in Delhi, the capital city of India in the year 2009.

As it was my first in the new school, I didn’t know where was my classroom and which division I belongs to. So it was searching for the class for almost an hour and still couldn’t found the location. At last, I found the teachers’ room and I entered inside. All teachers surprisingly looking at me because I went entered without asking their permission. One of the teachers initially yelled at me about my behavior and I explained it’s my first day in school. Finally, the same teacher showed me my classroom.

Somehow I managed to search for a place to seat and settled down. To my surprise, I found that a few of my previous school classmates were also in the class. I introduce myself to the whole classroom and share my hobbies and carrier goals.

Overall, For me, this first day of school was a mixed feeling and I think I will never forget that day. I always keep in touch every now and then with classmates and sometimes we have a get-together also.

Our lives are full of events which we cherish on different days. Similarly, going to school for the first time is also memorable. Today, I would take this opportunity to tell you about my first day into the realm of education.

Where it was?

It was the month of April. At that time, I was six years old. My parents got me admitted to Delhi Public School, Patiala. The school was centrally located in the city and connected to two state libraries.

How did you go?

My mother woke me up early in the morning and after my bath and breakfast, I got dressed in my brand new school uniform for the first time. The feeling it gave me was unforgettable. Since it was my first day so my parents dropped me off to the school by car.

What happened that day?

I vividly remember my first day at school. My class teacher was very gentle and kind. The boys were looking at me like I was from some other planet. I had my first school lesson in English alphabets. During lunch break, the students rushed out of the classrooms and gathered around me. In an effort to befriend me, they offered me their lunch. The last bell went at three in the afternoon. I took my bag and hurried back to my home.

How you felt on that day?

I had many unknown fears that day. Much like any other child, I was excited as well as scared on my first day. I clearly remember not letting go of my mother’s hand, hesitant to go into the classroom. Once I settled in the class and talked to other students, I felt comforted. The colourful walls of the classroom fascinated me a lot.

Conclusion

In the end I would just say that… My first day at school was gratifying. It fills me with pride when I look back at it and share my experience with others.

Yes, I have. It a new concept wherein a child studies at home and does not

  1. In your opinion what are some qualities of a good school?

I believe that all schools are good because schools do a noble task of

imparting education. However, schools which teach values like honesty,

cleanliness, teamwork, punctuality and social contribution are good schools

according to me. Quality education is more important than the

infrastructural facilities.
